JOB SUMMARY:
Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the 4th largest and largest private Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking a Sr. Digital Technician responsible for installing posters and bulletins as well as perform maintenance as required to the physical structure and surrounding property.
The Sr. Digital Technician will also be responsible for performing work on all Digital Assets as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE:
- The ability to climb without restrictions fixed, portable and/or extension ladders to heights up to 125 feet multiple times daily.
- The ability to work from elevated platforms up to 125 feet in height for up to 70% of the workday.
- Must be able to lift weight up to 100 lbs. without restrictions or limitations through demonstrated safe lifting practices.
- Working knowledge on the difference between watts, voltage and amps.
- Working knowledge on the difference between 240 volt and 110 volt services.
- Must be able to recognize live circuits and understand how to disconnect or bypass the live circuits.
- Diagnose issues that arise in the display and provide timely resolution to get the display back in service.
- Must be able to install and perform maintenance functions on Smartlink devices.
- Communicate all diagnostic findings with either AOA IT department or manufacturer’s diagnostic’s department.
- Must be willing to maintain the market’s entire digital network. Which includes but not limited to, replacing modules, keeping webcams operational, maintaining the communication hardware and player hardware.
- Perform structure inspections annually per site along with PMC set forth by each manufacturer.
- Maintain digital files which include: manufacturer, model, serial number, and all associated repairs made.
- Maintain inventory on spare parts per location.
- Return all defective parts to manufacturer in a timely manner.
- Communicate with Ops Manager for a CER needs as it pertains to parts or equipment needed for repairs.
- Setup designated areas of responsibility for each tech assigned under your direction.
- Must be able to maintain digital network over weekends and holidays as deemed necessary (outages/blank displays).
- Must know OSHA’s requirements for working on live electrical components and minimum safe distance practices.
- Is required to possess a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicles.
- Utilize all safety related equipment without exception as mandated by Adams Outdoor Advertising operating procedures.
- Understanding and possession of basic mathematics skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
- Must have a full range of motion in order to install and maintain digital signage and all external and internal components.
- Meet maximum weight restrictions of 265 pounds due to manufacturer requirements on safety related equipment used to work in elevate work environment.
- The ability to work in all weather conditions when necessary.
- The ability to tolerate the risk of expose associated with an outdoor environment.
- Comply and adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines without exception.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School or equivalent degree.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the external clients and the internal client at all levels of personnel.
- Highly adaptable to changing work environments.
- Must be able to travel as required.
- Must prioritize and execute tasks and assignments.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership or managerial experience.
- Must be certified by all current digital vendors.
- Strong electrical background
- Strong computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of internet protocols and local area network standards.
